Jakarta, 6 March 2026 – PT DSST Mas Gemilang (DSST), a subsidiary of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk, part of Sinar Mas, has officially entered into a strategic cooperation and joint venture framework agreement to establish PT Brilian Teknologi Sejahtera（BTS) with iFLYTEK CO., LTD. (iFLYTEK), a global leader in Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Model (LLM). This partnership marks a significant milestone in adopting cutting-edge AI solutions to drive the digitization and intelligent upgrading of Indonesia’s core industries.

By combining iFLYTEK’s world-class technological capabilities in a full-stack AI technology matrix with Sinar Mas’ expansive ecosystem, the collaboration aims to set a new benchmark for artificial intelligence in the ASEAN region.

Addressing Cross-Industry Challenges Through AI Innovation

The joint venture between DSST and iFLYTEK leverages localized LLM technology to drive digital autonomy across Indonesia. While the immediate focus is transforming Education and Healthcare, the strategy extends into AI Telecom, Finance, and Energy to achieve cross-sector digital autonomy. The partnership between DSST and iFLYTEK directly addresses Indonesia's projected shortage of 1.3 million teachers by deploying iFLYTEK AI Smart Class Solutions to bridge the widening educational gap.

Operating through BTS, the initiative creates an end-to-end ecosystem that automates the entire workflow from teaching to evaluation. This strategic upgrade enhances educational quality through personalized, data-driven learning while prioritizing the cultivation of local AI talent. Powered by the Spark Medical Large Model—which outperformed 96.3% of human examinees in medical licensing exams—the initiative focuses on enhancing primary care capacity and accelerating tuberculosis (TB) screening. This localized approach drives the digital and intelligent upgrading of the national healthcare system, providing high-quality medical resources to bridge the gap between existing professional density and national targets.
