Pacitan, 8 August 2025 – The SBY*ANI Museum & Gallery in Pacitan, East Java, has inaugurated the operation of its Rooftop Solar Power Plant (PLTS Atap), a concrete step in supporting Indonesia’s national energy transition agenda and sustainable development goals. The project is the result of collaboration with PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk, part of Sinar Mas’ energy and infrastructure pillar, through its subsidiary PT Daya Mas Agra Sejahtera (Dian Solar).
The newly inaugurated Rooftop Solar Power Plant has a capacity of 239.2 kWp, comprising 416 solar panels, capable of producing 328,000 kWh of clean energy per year. Environmentally, this amount is equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 262,400 kilograms of CO₂ per year, or the ecological benefit of planting nearly 12,000 trees annually.
The project was built and completed by Dian Solar, which took full responsibility for the technical planning, construction, and operational management of the rooftop solar PV system at the SBY*ANI Museum. “This moment is a symbol of commitment to the use of solar panels in our country and has also drawn the attention of national leaders and statesmen. We hope initiatives like this will further inspire the public to do the same, helping Indonesia to achieve its renewable energy mix target of 23 percent this year more quickly,” said Sinar Mas Managing Director Ferry Salman.
This demonstrates that collaboration between the government, private sector, and community potential can drive the energy transition process. “We are honored to contribute to strengthening the mission of the SBY*ANI Museum & Gallery as a multidimensional gateway that provides space for the public to continue learning and developing themselves, to build a better future life. One way to do this is by utilizing solar panels that not only generate clean energy but are also environmentally friendly, supporting the energy transition and a low-carbon economy,” said Lokita Prasetya, Vice President Director of PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk.
This partnership also reflects the implementation of the government’s current mission, Asta Cita, which places energy transition and national energy security as key pillars of long-term development. “With the contribution of green energy from one institution like this museum, Indonesia proves that the Asta Cita vision is not merely rhetoric, but can be realized through concrete collaboration and relevant technology application at the local level. Energy security is built from the ground up, from initiatives rooted in the community,” said Ossy Dermawan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) and Executive Director of the SBY*ANI Museum & Gallery.
The inauguration took place at the Auditorium of the SBYANI Museum & Gallery in Pacitan, East Java, on Friday, 8 August 2025. In addition to being attended by Ossy Dermawan, in his capacity as Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN and Executive Director of the SBYANI Museum & Gallery, the presence of Emil E. Dardak, Vice Governor of East Java, as well as representatives from the Pacitan Regional Government, demonstrated institutional support for the event.
With this inauguration, Sinar Mas, through DSSA and Dian Solar, reaffirms its role in supporting the national clean energy roadmap. Through the application of technology, strategic partnerships, and community engagement, this project serves as a tangible example of synergy between innovation, cultural heritage preservation, and environmental sustainability.
